This month was special also because we finally got to do a bit of riding on the motorcycles! Overall we had a good time. It is a valuable skill for going overseas. Hopefully in the future we will be able to do it more.

*Mindy and Abby finished their internship this month. That was bittersweet. They are such an encouragement. Please pray for them as they continue in their walk and follow the Lord.

*We also started a new term praise the Lord! This is my last term of school and we have: Poetical Books, The Gospels, Missions 2, Homiletics, The Pursuit of Holiness and the Book of Romans.

Oldest Town in USA's history was fun but talking with Mr. Arthur was better!...

March 2018

Hello to everyone! I hope that this month has been full of growth for you all. Thank you for any prayers and support. I'm really grateful that the Lord always provides. Sometimes it is hard to accept. As humans we want to take care of ourselves and not depend on others. This is something that the Lord has brought to my attention this month. Learning how to receive is important too.

God has been talking to me lately about bitterness and understanding His sacrifice. In all honesty there are times I have difficulty being here. Unfortunately I get flustered and I hold things in my heart where people have not treated me or others right. God has gently reminded me that He is the one who judges and He is a just and righteous God. He's still working on me in this area but praise the Lord that there is progress.

"...Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything..."

James 1:2-4 NIV

Lately, especially with Easter, I've been thinking about the sacrifice that Jesus made for us on the cross and that He made it for unworthy people. I'm realizing that I've heard about it so much in my life that I get kind of numb to the weight or intensity of the meaning of the sacrifice. Something I am trying to understand more is the basic meaning and understanding of Jesus on the cross, what it means and how much it truly effects me.

TESTIMONY: I started that day with a longing to be used by the Lord. My family and I were on our way back from St. Augustine Florida and it was a little after 9pm. We stopped for gas and a man named Mr. Arthur walked up and asked for some spare change. He was about to walk away and the Holy Spirit nudged me. This is the opportunity I wanted and the Lord brought it right to me. (Funny how He does that sometimes). So I asked Mr. Arthur if He had a relationship with Jesus. He opened up and began to talk to my dad and I. Mr. Arthur believed in Jesus but not in God. He had just lost his job the day before and did not have a roof over head so he was hurting. He told us that he prays but it is like God does not hear him. We talked for a very long time, sharing the Gospel and he asked a lot of questions. God had been working on his heart and he wanted a relationship with the Lord but did not understand some things. God used us to clarify and to share how to have a relationship with the Lord. Mr. Arthur walked away with a Bible that night. I'm not sure if he prayed that night to accept the Lord but please pray for Mr. Arthur. Pray that God will continue to work in his heart and bring him to accept Christ as His Savior. Please also pray that he would connect with strong believers in Christ to help disciple him. The Lord is faithful and it is so cool that He allows us to be apart of His awesome work!

FamilyTime!

Easter Weekend!

God provided that I spend Easter weekend with Hannah Ferguson's family in Kissimme FL. Her family flew down for the weekend and we stayed at her Uncle Glynn's house. We watched a movie, hung out together, went to the Kennedy Space Center and Disney Springs, went on a picnic under the bridge and ate out. Easter morning we took them to the airport and then headed to church. It was a good time and a nice weekend with them. It was refreshing also and nice to see them. They are always so welcoming and I appreciate that.

Snippits

So God really blessed my goofy, fun family and I. My parents came to visit for almost two weeks and volunteered here at Teen Missions! While they were here we ate seafood among other foods, watched March Madness, spent quality time together, played some games, went to the beach a couple times (saw peacocks there), took a road trip to the oldest town in the USA, St. Augustine, and stopped along the way and had a picnic under the bridge with Mrs. Pat. We had a lot of fun together and it was so very nice to have them here, refresh a bit, relax some and spend time with them. I treasure that and will remember it. They got to see how I live and get to know the people I work with. It was such a blessing from the Lord and I miss them being around already. God provides and I am grateful for the time and means that He provided so it could happen.

THANK YOU so much for your prayers, encouragement, thoughts and support! I am so grateful for you! Please contact me in some way with your prayer requests or just to say hi! May God continue to work in your life this coming month! :)
