Adventure/ Ministry

Walking with Jesus

Lately the realization has come to me that I am almost finished with the BMW program in Florida! I can see the light at the end of the tunnel. Jesus is teaching me about His sovereignty through this time and the challenging several months prior. The Lord has been faithful to pull me and teach  me through it.

Jeremiah is what I've been reading for devotions. The people are being warned for about a destruction that is to come because they forsook the Lord. They worshiped and put other things before Him. God loved them, He tried to warn them repeatedly and give them a chance to repent. He tried to give them a way out, a time to turn from their sins. A response that the people gave God was "It’s no use. We will continue with our own plans; we will all follow the stubbornness of our evil hearts.” From what I understood, God said will I run out? Will I vanish? Yet the people still turned from Him.

I really was encouraged  by a few things. One was that the Lord loves us so much that He tries again and again. Another was that He gives us chances to repent. Lastly, that He never runs out nor does He vanish. God reminded me that I need to take my relationship with Him seriously and have a repentant heart.

Blueberries and Pals

During the month of April Hannah F. and I drove about 2 hours north to see our pal Mindy. While we were there visiting we ended up going to pick blueberries and strawberries. We spent some time with Mindy's mom and sister, played some games, watched a movie, went to a park and just spent good quality time with Mindy. The dogs Boone and George were a blast too. It was really nice to see Mindy and to spend time with her wonderful self. Please pray for Mindy and her mom's health! They would appreciate that.

Mud Run

Students, staff and volunteers worked on a Saturday the beginning of May. Over 600 people came to run the obstacle course Mud Run. The funds went to the AIDS Orphan program with Teen Missions. The Tire Run was the obstacle that I was the judge for. It was fun to see people running it. Earlier that week the students did the Jr. Run as a student body and that was pretty great.

2nd Year Skip Day!

The four second year students were surprised by our coordinators (The Frey's) with a skip day! The Frey's took us to Denny's in the morning and then we drove to Orlando to spend the day at the Holy Land experience. The cast there acted out different passages from the New Testament and they sang! The surroundings looked like they would in Bible times and the actors were dressed accordingly also. It was a neat interactive place that helped us picture what things might have looked like then. In the evening we drove to Mr. Paul and Mrs. Beth's house (Staff at Teen Missions) and they had cooked us a nice steak dinner. Mr. Paul sat us out on the porch and the four of us just had a good time. Later Mr. Paul came and chatted too. It was a really good day. It helped us to feel loved and recognize the accomplishment in graduating.

Life Size Tabernacle

bus trip

Around mid May, five students and some staff took a trip to Iowa to set up a life sized replica of the Old Testament tabernacle. It was a long trip in the bus there and back. When we arrived we checked out where we would be working and settled in. The next four days we were working long hard hours to get it up! We were grateful that we could finish on the fourth day. While we were there we also got to do some fishing (I caught a few!), help with a fundraiser, and eat good food! Sunday morning we cleaned up and drove to Ohio and then to Tennessee. Those were stops to pick up some things for Teen Missions. We had left on a Sunday night and we returned the next week on Tuesday morning. Thankfully we were allowed to rest that day and try to catch up on some much needed rest. Even though it was hard work, I had fun and it was even refreshing to just have a change of scenery. I appreciated the leaders and people I worked with. Overall I am glad I had the opportunity to go!

THANK YOU!

Thank you so much for your support, love, prayers and help! I really appreciate it and I'm humbled that God uses others to get me to where He is taking me. Right now I am FULLY FUNDED for my team to Mongolia! YAY, PRAISE the LORD! I have a little over $6,000 left to raise for my internship. Thank you so much. Please let me know how I can be praying for you all! God bless you and I hope you are having a good week!
